Experience Highlights

​

• On our way to the classroom, you will be introduced to some of our resident raptor in the Falconry Village.

• In our Tudor style classroom, you will be exposed to the equipment, training techniques, natural history, conservation, and the care and management of birds of prey.

• You will be fitted with your gauntlet as you learn how to call a raptor to you!

• With nature as our classroom, experience the thrill of partnering with a raptor as each participant has a bird of prey fly to their gloved arm!

• Interaction with the raptors will be done outside, in our open air flight aviary, or directly in the raptors' enclosures for an up close experience.

• Then you will have an opportunity to enter our owl enclosure for photos in an up-close and personal experience.

• This experience is for your group only. NO unknown guests  will join in your experience.

• This experience combines the best of Our Private Falconry Experience and our Private Owl Experience.

Additional Information

Spring/Summer:

Please dress appropriately, closed toed shoes and bug spray.

Fall/Winter:

Raptor Hill is located on the side of a mountain, as we hold our experiences later in the afternoon, the temperature can drop significantly so, please dress appropriately.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: This experience requires a moderate amount of activity, traversing over some uneven ground for about 80 yards, walking up a slight slope, and standing for brief periods of time (10-15 minutes at a time).  There are benches nearby for sitting as needed.  If you plan to be a participant and have a bird fly to your gloved arm (left arm only) you will need the ability to lift your left arm up and hold the bird steadily.
